I drew this quickie when I was on the train home from my hols in the Lake District. Or should I say trainS, as my first train hit something on the track and sprang a fuel leak and was terminated at Edinburgh - so I had to switch trains at Haymarket (a small station before Edinburgh) onto a high speed GNER 125, where I finished the cartoon off and got back home to Dundee 20 minutes late. Oh well, first ride on a Virgin Voyager, first ride on a GNER 125, and my first ride solo! I enjoyed it, especially when crossing the Forth and Tay bridges ^^.
This cartoon itself is nothing spectacular by any means, but I still hold it with a warm place in my heart as it's a reminder of me leaving my brief break in the Lake District watching the countryside flash past as the sun sets.
I kinda cheated and did a tad of computer shading, but it's enough to be considered traditional art I reckon. This has now gone into scraps due to it's roughness, but I'm glad you like it all the same - I really appreciate it
Hee, touch-ups are quite alright, I think correcting bits once it's so far finished, can be risky sometimes with only traditional means.
And glad to support ya! ^^

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
